Course Descriptions

Streamline Your Company Dispatch

Dispatch is often the first interaction a customer will have with your towing company. Set up your dispatchers to succeed and enjoy the positive impact a streamlined, effective dispatch team can have on your entire company.

Presented by Mike Porter, TDR Way

Your Legal Responsibilities Under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA)

Federal law forbids the foreclosure sale of the real or personal property of military servicemembers while they are on active duty.  A towing company which auction-sells an unclaimed impounded vehicle owned by an active duty servicemember – even inadvertently – without following the proper legal procedures can find itself as a defendant in a civil action filed by the Department of Justice on behalf of the servicemember.  The DOJ aggressively pursues SCRA violators.  Learn about the SCRA, the special SCRA rules that must be followed regarding unclaimed vehicles owned by active servicemembers, and how to protect yourself from a federal Government lawsuit.

Presented by Michael McGovern, The McGovern Law Firm

Run a Smarter Tow Office with AI-Powered Systems

Discover how cutting-edge technology and AI tools can simplify your day-to-day office operations – from managing paperwork and customer communication to handling recovery invoicing. Tailored specifically for towing companies, this session will show you how to reduce repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reclaim valuable time.

Presented by Jade Fickert, Recovery Billing Unlimited

Safely Store Electric Vehicles

This session will dive into the specific hazards associated with storing damaged Electric Vehicles (EVs) and provide effective solutions to handle them safely. Plus, discover the hidden billing opportunities these vehicles can present and how to capitalize on them.

Maximize Your Website’s Impact

Your website has the potential to be a powerful marketing tool that can attract new customers and build your brand. But what makes a towing company website truly stand out? Whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to improve an existing website, this session will provide valuable insights on how to optimize your site for better performance and visibility.

Presented by Carol Snelling and Alex Andersen, MarketSmart

Reinforce Safety Through Policies and Meetings

Every towing and recovery company needs policies and procedures that reinforce safety. Learn how regular meetings provide the perfect opportunity to review your business’s safety policies, set clear expectations for your drivers, and promote responsible driving habits.
