Lookout Mountain is home to some of the most spectacular views in Tennessee. What’s more, they have several different ways to experience this amazing place. Whether you take in the sights on your way up the Incline Railway, view the breathtaking “See 7 States” panoramic view at Rock City, or travel below the surface to see Ruby Falls – the 1200 ft. waterfall (above) inside the mountain – Lookout Mountain is the spot to be.

America’s oldest and largest Civil War Park is just around the corner at the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. You can learn more about the “Battle above the Clouds” at The Battles for Chattanooga Museum. Then, cross the street to the Point Park Battlefield to visit the location that changed the outlook of the Civil War. You will also have a perfect view of Moccasin Bend National Archeological District, which boasts 12,000 years of continuous human habitation.

Downtown offers some one-of-a-kind experiences for the children. The famous Tennessee Aquarium experience highlights marine life in both salt and fresh water aquariums. The Creative Discovery Museum allows kids to learn and grow through interactive exhibits and play. For the more active, there is High Point Climbing and Fitness to let the kids climb rock walls with the help of professionals.

The adults need some time to play, as well. The Flying Squirrel (above) offers local fresh produce and a vibrant menu, plus custom cocktails. Track 29 hosts live music and local artists in a unique venue at the Chattanooga Choo Choo. You could also try out the Southside Social, which becomes a 21+ over venue after 9 p.m. for bowling, corn hole, pool, and other games with your friends.

There’s plenty more to see and do in Chattanooga! There’s the zoo, waterfront, the railroad museum, world-famous Ducks (land/water vehicles) and much more. Visit chattanoogafun.com to plan your trip.
